O izložbi

(English below)

Galerija savremenih umjetnosti Manifesto i Austrijski kulturni forum Sarajevo sa zadovoljstvom najavljuju samostalnu izložbu renomiranog bosanskohercegovačkog umjetnika Mladena Miljanovića i austrijskog umjetnika Wolfganga Lehrnera pod nazivom “Posljednji veliki dim”.

About the Exhibition

Gallery of Contemporary Arts Manifesto and the Austrian Cultural Forum Sarajevo are pleased to present a solo exhibition by acclaimed Bosnian artist Mladen Miljanović and Austrian artist Wolfgang Lehrner, titled The Last Great Smoke. The exhibition will open on Friday, November 15, at 7:00p.m.

As a “final warning,” The Last Great Smoke provokes with a dystopian urban scenario, featuring two new works: Miljanović’s installation, Stone Whispers Smoke Signals, and Lehrner’s multi-channel video piece, The City as a Climate Machine. Set against the backdrop of a time that, unfortunately, yet again highlights the urgency of addressing the ecological and climate crisis, the exhibition probes the delicate relationship between humanity and nature.

The Last Great Smoke is not a dark prophecy, but it certainly serves as a warning and a call to change. Smoke does not have to be a sign of destruction; if we embrace change as an imperative, it could instead be a sign of a rebirth for nature and humanity.

The exhibition will be open until November 29. All interested visitors can view it during regular hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., and Sunday from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m.
